of five departments; Department of Food
and Nutrition, Department of Child Welfare,
Department of Fashion Design Information,
Department of Housing and Interior Design,
and Department of Consumer Studies. We have
22 outstanding faculty members and more

CHE aims to produce competent
experts in the field of human ecology by
approaching problems occurring in our basic
life of eating, clothing, housing, and consuming
as well as children and family welfare and
finding out solutions from an ecological
perspective. Our graduates have been contributing
their expertise successfully to various
companies as well as educational institutions.
Every department of CHE
offers a graduate program in which a student
can pursue a master degree as well as a
doctor¡¯s degree. In addition, majors in
human ecology education, preschool education
and nutrition education are offered from
the Graduate school of Education. As for
attached organizations of CHE, there are
a Educare Teacher Training Center and Attached

Human Ecology Research
Institute, which is another important attached
organization of CHE, supports a variety
of research projects and public welfare
projects for the local community. Also Cheongju
Healthy Family Support Center run by Human
Ecology Research Institute teaches and counsels
local citizens to help them build a healthy
and happy family.
CHE is adjacent not only
to Seoul but also to Ochang Scientific Industrial
Complex, Osong Advanced-Medical Complex
and Sejong administration complex. Using
this geographic advantage, CHE is promoting
various educational opportunities with neighboring
industries and government officials. CHE
tries to provide an environment that fulfills
the industrial needs and educational trends.
CHE provides those who
plan to pursue their careers as scientists
and experts in the field of Human Ecology
