On July 5, at the Kim Dae-Joong Convention Center in Gwangju, professors from our university, Kim Hong-Tae (Agriculture, Life, and Environment Sciences, Department of Plant Medicine), Han Nam-Soo (Agriculture, Life and Environment Sciences, Department of Food Science and Technology), Park Gyung-Ok (Human Ecology, Department of Housing and Interior Design), Kim Jong-Won (Natural Sciences, Department of Chemistry) were awarded the‘Top Science and Technology Dissertation Award’.

On this day, each person received a Top Science and Technology Dissertation award for their contribution.  Professor Kim Hong-Tae was honored  for his paper titled 'Effectiveness of Carboxylic Acid Amide in control system of pepper blight fungicide ' Professor Han Nam-Su whose paper was titled 'Isolation and Characterization of Biogenic Amine-Producing Bacteria in Fermented Soybean Pastes', Professor Park Gyung-Ok's 'Building Co-housing Communities for the activation of a Social Environment' and Professor Kim Jong-Won's 'Electro-catalytic Reduction of Hydrogen Peroxide at Nanoporous Gold Surfaces'.
 
Meanwhile, the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies has awarded every year since 1991, 'The Best Science and Technology Dissertation Award', in accordance with more than 320 National Science and Technology Academic Associations in each of the fields .
