Graduate School of Medicine

The Specialized Medical School for graduate studies at Chungbuk University was established in 2005 as one of the four medical schools to be first established in Korea as a way to foster highly skilled talent while moving away from the rigidity of the original education system and allowing students with various backgrounds to take up on medical studies.
In 1987, the Medical School of Chungbuk University was already providing education to train doctors who are capable of comprehensive diagnosis and treatment, and who are equipped with a strong sense of responsibility, ethics and altruism. As a result, since 2005, one can start their studies in medicine either after a two-year long pre-med course, or by entering a graduate course in medicine after completing certain undergraduate courses. The associated hospital plays an important role in the education of specialty fields after graduation, as well as in the research conducted by our faculty. Upon completion of a four year course at the College of Medicine or the Graduate School of Medicine, the qualifications to take the national board test are acquired.
